Maternity Photography

I haven't bothered with any maternity photography in either pregnancy, besides the odd selfie every couple of months to keep as a record of my changing body and growing baby. I'm hoping to take some now that I have decided to explore motherhood and Pregnancy/labour in particular for my art class.

How beautiful is the photograph below. I found it on Pinterest.

The Birth Project

This artist is amazing.

I have found researching for pregnancy inspired art so inspirational, women are truly amazing when you think of what our bodies are capable of.

My due date is November 24th, I am hoping for a positive birth experience. I'll write all about it and hopefully get some great inspiration for my own birth inspired art.

Pregnancy art Project

It's been a long while since I have blogged anything at all.

My son has turned two, and I am expecting my second baby. I have little over a week to go. I am hoping that my Fuji 210 instax camera arrives before the baby does.

I recently joined an art class with my mother, we both absolutely love it. I think the best joy is watching my mom paint. She's been doing it in her spare time and is really loving it. I have decided that I want to start a series of paintings based on pregnancy, child birth and labour experiences. It will also explore motherhood and relationships between mother and child.

I'm pretty excited for my new pregnancy project but I do wish I hadn't left it so late In my pregnancy to get started. I need to take some great maternity shots now so that I have something to work from once baby arrives.

Will the real Nanny Joan please stand up

In loving memory of my nan. Joan Evelyn, April 2nd 1932- December 11th 2011.

I always blogged under the name nanny Joan. Because my nan was always my complete hero. Such a strong woman, who stood for so much. A lady who was passionate about her family.

My nan always liked to redecorate, and she often would. She always ended up redoing her rooms green. I love green in the home
