I always blogged under the name nanny Joan. Because my nan was always my complete hero. Such a strong woman, who stood for so much. A lady who was passionate about her family.

My nan always liked to redecorate, and she often would. She always ended up redoing her rooms green. I love green in the home

Life should not always be so serious. People should learn to take time out and romance the ordinary. And enjoy the little things, by this I mean take time for simple pleasures.

Home should be our very own little piece of heaven, a safe haven. A place to hide away from the world and recuperate.
